Description

310S stainless steel is the low carbon versions of 310 stainless steel. It is characterized by its good corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and oxidation resistance. High content of chromium and nickel make it high strength and creep strength at high temperatures. Alloy 310S stainless steel pipe displays excellent oxidation resistance up to 1094°C

310S stainless steel tube billet casting

The structure should be uniform and segregation should be reduced to prevent excessive concentration of non-metallic inclusion. The optimum casting temperature was adopted to increase the critical pressure drop. Before perforation, the heating temperature of the leather should be guaranteed and the pressure before the top should be reduced to improve the quality of the thermal tool.

The welding of 310S steel pipe

Attention should be paid to the separation from carbon steel in the use of 310S stainless steel pipe welding materials, it is best to clean the wire with acetone before use, as required baking electrode, and pay attention to the temperature between layers should not be too high.

Properties of Stainless steel 310/310S
An austenitic heat resistant alloy with excellent resistance to oxidation under mildly cyclic conditions through 2000ºF. Its high chromium and nickel contents provide comparable corrosion resistance, superior resistance to oxidation and the retention of a larger fraction of room temperature strength than the common austenitic alloys like Type 304. Stainless 310 is often used at cryogenic temperatures, with excellent toughness to -450°F, and low magnetic permeability.

As you can see below, Grade 310S is a low carbon version of grade 310. 310S is less prone to embrittlement and sensitization in service.
